A real breakthrough: orthokeratology, or in other words, knowledge of night lenses. These super lenses do their work at night, so that you can see well without aids during the day. They are ideal if you are prone to dry eyes, for example, if you work a lot at a monitor, or work in a dusty environment.
- Night lenses are suitable for deviations from -050 to -500, with up to -15 cylinder,
- stop the deterioration of sight in children,
- give children perfect sight often after just 1 night,
- only work as long as you wear them: stop and after a couple of nights everything reverts to how it was.
Because soft lenses attract a layer or tear fluid, they are comfortable to wear from day 1. However, they also attract dirt so it is important to take extra good care of them.
- Soft lenses are extremely suitable when you sport,
- they are comfortable from the first moment, so it doesn’t take long to build up to normal use,
- they cover a larger area of the eye so you suffer less from dust,
- they are readily available from stock,
- are in various tints that can change or enhance your own eye color.
Hard contact lenses retain their shape and are nowadays always oxygen permeable, allowing the eye to ‘breathe’.
- Hard lenses can correct practically every optical deviation,
- are available in every strength,
- limit the increase in eye disorders,
- are long lasting and the chance of losing them is small,
- are the cheapest to maintain.
